About IML

Where art meets decoration.

Modern decoration.

IML technology is adopted on containers and other plastic objects directly in the molding mold. A pre-printed label, generally made of polypropylene (PP), is inserted into an injection mold via a robot and an electrostatic charge ensures that the label remains in position. Plastic material is then injected into the mold which takes the shape of the product, while the label fuses with it. The end result is that the packaging and label become one.

Advantages:

  • Precise and clean labeling without glue residues
  • Greater resistance to heat, humidity and chemical agents
  • Greater speed of the container production line
  • Possibility of having removable proof of purchase
  • Non-removable (prevents counterfeiting)
  • Complete recyclability of the container, label included
  • Production of the labeled container in a single phase
  • Perfect adhesion to the container, even on curved surfaces and edges
