Continued commitment to sustainability and innovation
Viappiani at Plast 2023, one of the most important international trade fairs for the plastics and rubber industry, with its stand: a "showcase of opportunities", where you can appreciate the experience, knowledge and customisation service that for years have made Viappiani a reliable, capable and flexible partner for many Italian and foreign customers.
For over 40 years Viappiani has been specialised in the production of In Mould Label (IML) labels. This type of packaging, which represents a niche market, requires high technical competences for printing and label production. The company is constantly committed to keeping pace with technology, investing every year in new plants and developing new solutions. For example, pasteurisation labels make it possible to carry out product pasteurisation processes, protecting the end consumer and the brand owner.
In addition to classic IML labels, Viappiani is able to produce various types of Barrier labels (Light, oxygen, total) which, in addition to adequate support, require a series of procedures that make it possible to obtain easily workable labels during the injection phase while at the same time maintaining correct sizing so as not to compromise the characteristics of the containers.
"Viappiani has long been following a process aimed at sustainable development which is not only based on the fact that our IML labels, being produced in polypropylene on a tray injected with polypropylene granules, are mono-material, but we have committed ourselves to developing removable labels so as to give packaging a second life - said Stefano Cuttitta CEO of the company - In practice, at the end of the packaging's life, it is possible to give it a second chance of use by easily removing our label. An example is the transformation of an ice cream tub into a durable fridge container like those that can normally be purchased in hardware stores. We are also able to produce labels compatible with industrial compostability, such as labels for coffee capsules, produced with PLA (Polylactic Acid). Our goal is to continue to offer high quality products and services with an eye to sustainability."
